XTREME PILGRIMAGE
A UNIQUE CATHOLIC EVENT IN HONG KONG
The XTREME Pilgrimage is a pilgrimage, which takes place every year and leads pilgrims to the missionaries Chapels built in Hong Kong.
The XTREME Pilgrimage aims to express unity between all Catholics in Hong Kong, to welcome and gather all the Catholic communities from various nationalities and languages in Hong Kong and, to foster the fraternity between all while strengthening the faith of the
participants seeking for a deeper conversion of the hearts.
The XTREME Pilgrimage is organised by local Hong Kong and overseas lay people and clergy members.
A MISSIONARY PILGRIMAGE UNITING THE COUNTRY’S CATHOLICS
• A unique Catholic event in Hong Kong
• A 2-day long outdoor Pilgrimage
• To gather as many of the country’s Catholics in one place
• Open to all: making no distinctions on the basis of nationality, race, gender, class,
• Multilingual and multicultural (Cantonese, Chinese, Filipino, French, Spanish, Indonesia,German…).
• An intergenerational event: open to pilgrims of all ages (from 2 years old to 80 years old),
• A bridge between local Catholic Hong Kong people and overseas Catholic communities.
Xtreme Pilgrimage Hong Kong is an occasion to witness the unity and universality of the Church encompassing the cultures,
languages and ways of life.
It is a place of fraternal encounters, a knot of connections, a door to inner transformation.

XTREME PILGRIMAGE AN ANSWER TO
THE CALL OF CHRIST FOR UNITY
The XTREME Pilgrimage offers a great opportunity to walk all
together – Asian or not, citizen of Hong Kong or not –, hand in hand, rather than side by side, in love and truth to overcome the obstacles that separate, divide and exclude, and to answer to the prayer of the Lord that we may all be one.
Jn 17;20-21 “I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me”.

The XTREME Pilgrimage is held the closest week-end to the Immaculate Conception Feast day, December, 8.
